• Pro-Am Beach Soccer Tournament returns to Main Beach June 21-22
This is a hugely popular sand soccer tournament that has a long waiting list of teams each year. Some spots are reserved for local teams who volunteer at the beach and they will waive the entry fee as well! High school students can do their community service. Referee Classes for Youth - Adult, age 12 and up
Two referee courses are scheduled for this summer - June 24-29 in mid-county, and July 28-Aug 7 in Aptos. Adults are highly encouraged to take the referee course - we need more adult referees for the older age games. These will fill up, so reserve your space soon. • SCCYSC Awarded $10,000 Grant from the William and Cloy Codiga Family Foundation
SCCYSC families have contributed nearly $5000 toward our matching grant goal of $10,000. Thank you to the many families that have contributed. We have received wonderful support including some $500 donations. All contributions above the registration fee are tax-deductible. Every dollar you donate will result in two dollars for the club! The donations will support expanded coach and referee training, equipment support, and other initiatives. Click here to read more about the grant and how the club plans to use it.

Sharks-96 U11 Boys win their Santa Cruz Classic Division Sept. 30, 2007 From the top: Nick Holombo, Oliver Borg, Coach Heidi Wilson, Eddie Moreno, Triton Pelstring, Will Wiseman, Nolan Burr, Oliver Price, Jasper Lewin, Ryan Nixon, Coach Ray Borg, Daniel Fusari, Eber Delarosa, Tony Medina, Oliver Delarosa, Connel Wilson, Wilem Banks, Ben Coffey.  We won all 4 games, outscoring the opponent 13 - 4.	Jaws-94 placed 4th at the Tiburon Mill Valley Fall Kick-Off Tournament held August 25th & 26th. Jaws-94 is a group of 11 to 13 year old girls from 7 different schools in the Santa Cruz area. The tournament was their first games of the fall and they showed growth and improvement with each game played. Players are: Annie Barnes, Kaitlin Delucchi, Breana Begin, Megan Rix, Erin Astin, Shannon Youmans, Kaitlin Begin, Molly Hastings, Dawn Maddocks, Moon Sinjur, Maddi Baird, Triana Griffith, Haley Robinson, Julia Knebel, Annika Neklason, and Olivia Owens
