Competitive Teams

Over 400 players participate in Santa Cruz City YSC's competitive soccer program.  Competitive teams are for boys and girls ages 8 to 18 who show interest and ability to train and play with similarly advanced players.

The competitive teams play in the California Youth Soccer Association (CYSA) District 2 league (CCSL) and in tournaments throughout northern California.  Some of the competitive teams play in the Spring League as well as in the Fall.  The club's competitive teams have played successfully in all divisions (Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Premier) of their age groups.

The club relies on volunteers to coach its competitive teams.  For more information see the Coaches section.
